Show me that this world is bigger than us.

** This page would include pictures of text convos between Renji and Kenji.

Kenji stayed on the wings, looking down at the main stage of the theatre as he grips his clipboard. Everyone is rushing to get into rehearsals and he’s missing at least a couple more things to double check before he could return to the green room. He flips the pages on his clipboard, reading and checking if a certain prop is in its right position or not.

He walked away, getting down on the stairs to get onto the main stage. He could see two people practicing their lines as they walk around the stage. Kenji looked around and fished out his phone, sending a quick message to Renji asking for his whereabouts, but the taller boy didn’t respond.

“Gee, I guess I’m on my own for now.” Kenji says, mostly to himself. He turned around and gestured a fellow stage director to question about the sturdiness of the props, in which he received a green light. Now, what else does he need to do?

He sent another quick text message to Renji, hoping the taller boy would finally reply to him. But instead, he received a much different response than he hoped.

“Whatever,” He says, pocketing his phone back as he walked away, moving to the green room to check on his fellow performers before they get to rehearse.

Kenji knocked on the door before entering. Aiden seems to be the only one finished in getting into costume. “And I thought you hate your job. You seem to be the first one here.”

“I do hate my job, so it means if I’m here much earlier, the early it gets to be over. I just want to sleep.” Aiden replied as he fixed his collar, eyes scanning the mirror. “Can’t I just sit out?”

The Director shakes his head, “and risk for our play to go into the ground six feet under? No.” He heard Aiden sigh, and he laughs at his reaction. “It’ll be over, I promise. It’s just a rehearsal.”

“I can’t wait to quit.”
